DO YOUR GARMENTS MEET EN20471?

YES. All of our hi-viz garments have been independently tested and certified to EN 20471 - High Visibility Clothing.

WHEN IS HI-VIZ CLOTHING REQUIRED?

Hi-Viz is a mandatory requirement for all industries where work occurs near moving vehicles, it is also essential in poorer light conditions. Hi-Viz clothing should provide adequate protection both during the day and at night, as well as in adverse weather conditions. When deciding what clothing to use for a particular task, it is important to select a garment that provides workers with the appropriate protection as demonstrated by the relevant European or British standard.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT CLASSES OF HI-VIZ?

There are 3 different types of Classes for hi-visibility, Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3. Class 1 are the lowest visibility clothing for lower risk environments, class 2 garments are moderate hi-visibility clothing for middle risk environments and class 3 garments are requires for the most dangerous working conditions to ensure every part of the wearer is visible.

WHEN DO I REPLACE MY HI-VIZ GARMENTS?

To ensure optimal safety on the job, it is essential to replace hi-viz clothing when it becomes damaged, faded or no longer fits properly. It is crucial to replace hi-viz clothing when it no longer meets the relevant safety standards as the wearer will no longer be protected from potential workplace hazards as the safety factors would have been diminished.
